OK getting Sewing is the easy part. Training it is the hard part.
I recommend completing the Intermediate schools before getting Sewing.
There are two ways of getting Sewing
No.1 Getting it with a favored job.
No.2 Getting Fabric trading rank 3 which requires rank 3 Textile trading.

Get the book Fabric secrets- Hardwares in any capital. Now head over to Cagliari and Sassari and go between them buying Goats and Sheep and turning them into Wool and Mohair and selling the finished product.
If you want, you can also go between Ancona and Zadar buying Chicken and urning it into Feathers and then sell them to gain some money.

Get Shipwright basic- sewing book in Syracuse and start buying Hemp Fabric in Tunis and Algiers and start turning it into Spare sails until you are rank 3 ( you'll need to invest 3000 Ð in Tunis in order to buy Hemp Fabric there).

There are 2 effective ways to do this.
1 - Sail to Syracuse and buy Fabric secrets - Cloth and then go between London, Helder and Edinburgh buying Sheep to turn it onto Wool and then turn the wool into Woollen Fabric
2 - Go between Alexandria and Cairo buying Cotton and turning it into Cotton earplugs using Shipwright basic- sewing book.

If you chose to go to Alexandria and do the trade route above sail to London and buy Wool then to Edinburgh and then Oslo and keep going between the 3 ports, when you are ready turn the Wool into Knitted Fabric until you are rank 5.

Around Calicut, India. Sew India Calico with Fabric secrets- design dye book. Buy Indian Indigo Dye in Calicut then buy Cotton from Mangalore (new town from Chapter 2) just north of Calicut, turn into Cotton Fabric. Do the math then turn cotton fabric and indigo dye into India Calico. Sell in Mangalore.
